Entlaq, Egypt’s leading think tank committed to reshaping the country’s entrepreneurial ecosystem, and Savannah, a prominent Sudanese incubator and advisory firm focused on unlocking the Sudanese startup ecosystems best potential by fostering global citizens and responsible leaders, have signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support Sudanese migrants and refugees entrepreneurs in Egypt. The partnership aims to help migrant and refugee entrepreneurs transition their businesses into the formal economy through comprehensive support, training, and advocacy efforts.
This partnership, effective immediately, sets the foundation for a range of interventions that will enhance the socio-economic status of Sudanese migrant and refugee entrepreneurs in Egypt. The key objectives outlined in the agreement focus on formalizing migrant-led enterprises, providing entrepreneurial support, and promoting economic integration. Entlaq and Savannah will also advocate for policies that address the unique needs of migrant entrepreneurs, creating a smoother path for them to thrive in Egypt’s business environment.
In addition, the partnership will provide an incubation program that include workshops, training sessions, and mentorship programs aimed at equipping entrepreneurs with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed. Business clinics will be offered to help entrepreneurs overcome challenges, while legal and financial advisory services will guide them through the process of formalizing and growing their businesses.
