Interview: Shaimaa Abu Al-Nasr
Q: Quality Leader is participating in the AI Everything Middle East & Africa summit in Cairo. What is your vision for the role of AI in quality assurance?
A: Our participation in the AI Everything summit reflects our belief that AI is the future of quality engineering. Our vision is to bridge the gap between traditional consulting and the actual digital needs of modern institutions. We are moving toward a Hybrid Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE) model where generative AI augments engineering skills to increase productivity and velocity while maintaining rigorous business assurance.
Q: With offices in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, and Nigeria, how do you manage such diverse regional projects?
A: Managing a diverse portfolio across Cairo, Riyadh, Dubai, and Abuja requires a robust and flexible PMO framework. We provide Project Management as a Service (PMaaS) to ensure consistency in quality regardless of the location. Our focus is on localized expertise—understanding the specific regulatory and data sovereignty requirements of each market, such as the digital transformation goals of Saudi Vision 2030 or the burgeoning fintech sector in Egypt.
Q: What are the key sectors Quality Leader is currently focusing on, especially within the fintech space?
A: We serve a wide range of sectors, including financial services, telecom, and government. In the fintech and financial sectors specifically, our audit and compliance services are vital. We help institutions meet international ISO standards and local regulatory requirements, which enhances their credibility and operational efficiency in a competitive market. For instance, our work helping clients like IBAG receive multiple ISO certifications demonstrates our capacity to secure and optimize financial IT environments.
Q: Can you tell us about Quality Leader’s expansion into the Egyptian market?
A: While we have been established in Saudi Arabia since 2020, we officially opened our headquarters in Egypt in 2023. Moreover, it was important for us to bring the success we achieved in Saudi Arabia back to our home country. We are seeing a healthy growth rate in Egypt of about 15% to 25% as we approach the end of the year.
Q: Which sectors are you currently targeting in Egypt?
A: Our focus is on the IT and Telecommunications sectors. We are also actively working to expand our client base in the Banking sector. We have already initiated discussions and Proof of Concept (POC) phases with major institutions like CIB, National Bank of Egypt (NBE), and Banque Misr to demonstrate how our systems can integrate with theirs.
Q: You have also mentioned expansion into Africa. How is that progressing?
A: We have had a very positive start in Nigeria after participating in GITEX Nigeria. We found a very receptive market there and have already established a local partnership to begin running POCs for Nigerian clients.
Q: What is next on the horizon for Quality Leader?
A: Our strategy is to use our presence in Egypt as a springboard for North Africa. After stabilizing our operations in Nigeria, we are looking closely at Libya as our next target station. We view these moves not just as a startup expansion, but as a strategic investment based on our proven business cases.
Q: What sets Quality Leader apart from other service providers at this exhibition?
A: Our primary differentiator is our strong partnership with OpenText. We specialize in ITSM (IT Service Management) and ITOM (IT Operations Management) solutions. While OpenText has other partners in Egypt, we bring a unique perspective and a proven track record of successful implementations from our regional experience.
Q: How does your participation as a Silver Sponsor at the OpenText Summit 2026 reflect Quality Leader’s commitment to digital transformation?
A: Our participation as a Silver Sponsor at the OpenText Summit 2026 in Riyadh is a testament to our commitment to driving digital transformation in Saudi Arabia and the broader region. From a PMO perspective, this means aligning our project methodologies with the cutting-edge AI and information management solutions offered by OpenText to deliver high-quality, efficient results for our partners.
Q: Can you tell us more about the partnership between Quality Leader and OpenText?
A: Quality Leader is a Gold Partner for OpenText (formerly Micro Focus). This partnership allows us to provide advanced solutions in software delivery management, application quality management, and cybersecurity. By integrating OpenText’s AI-powered tools—such as the Aviator series—we help organizations automate IT service management (ITSM) and optimize their DevOps pipelines, ensuring that quality is embedded at every stage of the software lifecycle.
