Monia Madkour Appointed Deputy CEO of EGBANK

EGBANK has announced the appointment of Monia Madkour as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, reflecting the bank’s commitment to strengthening its executive leadership with high-level banking expertise to support growth and expansion plans in the coming phase.

Monia Madkour is one of the prominent leaders in the Egyptian banking sector, with over 27 years of experience in finance and banking.

She has played a pivotal role in enhancing institutional performance through her strategic vision and deep expertise in managing various banking operations.

Her career spans two leading financial institutions. She spent 16 years at Arab Bank before moving to EGBANK, where she worked for 11 years, establishing herself as a specialist in wholesale banking.

Her areas of command include critical sectors such as Treasury, Financial Institutions, Direct Investments, Corporate Lending, Syndicated Financing, Structured Products, Global *Transaction* Banking and Debt Capital Markets.

Madkour holds a strong academic background, with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Sciences and a Master’s degree in International Business Administration, along with several professional certifications.

She further enhanced her leadership skills by completing two executive leadership programs at Harvard Business School, reflecting her commitment to continuous development according to global best practices.

In terms of governance, Madkour has extensive experience in board memberships and chairmanships across both public and private sectors.

She currently serves as Chairperson of the Board of Egyptian Gulf Holding Company, and holds non-executive board memberships at AUR Capital Financial Advisory and the Egyptian Hydrocarbon Corporation, highlighting the breadth of her expertise across Egypt’s finance and investment sectors.
