Replit Raises $250 Million, Triples Valuation to $3 Billion as AI Agent Adoption Surges

Cairo, Sept. 11, 2025:

Replit, the fast-growing agentic AI software creation platform, has closed a $250 million funding round that values the company at $3 billion, nearly tripling its valuation since its last raise in 2023. The round was led by Prysm Capital, with participation from Amex Ventures, Google’s AI Futures Fund, YC, Craft, a16z, Coatue, Paul Graham, and others expanding their stakes.

The new funding follows explosive growth in Replit’s annualized revenue, which soared from $2.8 million to $150 million in less than a year — a more than 50x increase — powered by a global user base of over 40 million developers and creators. Companies including Zillow, Duolingo, and Coinbase already rely on Replit to build applications.

Building on this momentum, Replit launched Agent 3, its most autonomous AI agent to date. Unlike earlier versions that acted as assistants, Agent 3 functions as a true collaborator, capable of testing and fixing code, building custom workflows, and automating complex tasks across industries. The agent can now operate up to 200 minutes at a time, compared with just 2 minutes in the first version and 20 minutes in the second.

“We were the first to make vibe-coding a reality for non-coders worldwide,” said Amjad Masad, CEO and founder of Replit. “With this raise and our new AI Agent, we’re positioned to supercharge enterprise adoption. The future is exciting, with millions — if not billions — of people bringing their ideas to life with a few clicks.”

Jay Park, co-founder and managing partner at Prysm Capital, emphasized that Replit’s vision “to empower everyone to build” has already made it the leading agentic AI platform. “We’re thrilled to support Replit in its next phase of growth,” he added.

As part of the expansion, Replit announced that its products are now available through Google Cloud Marketplace, enabling enterprises worldwide to access its AI-driven developer tools. Jonathan Silber, director of Google’s AI Futures Fund, said: “Replit is showing what’s possible with AI agents. We look forward to building with them on Gemini to power enterprises and deliver the benefits of Gemini to developers.”

The company said it will use the fresh capital to accelerate product development, scale operations, and drive global expansion. Kevin Weber, vice president at Amex Ventures, noted: “We invested in Replit because its vibe-coding technology empowers non-technical employees to bring software products to life. This has the potential to transform enterprise development across industries.”

Founded on the principle that anyone can create software, Replit continues to break down barriers between ideas and finished products. With Agent 3, the company aims to set a new benchmark in autonomous software development, delivering what feels like a real developer capable of testing, validating, and improving applications behind the scenes.
