Cairo – September 18, 2025:
«Digitize for Investment and Technology», a company listed on the Egyptian Exchange, has successfully manufactured its fiber optic and telecom infrastructure products at the factories of the «Arab Organization for Industrialization». Moreover, this step supports the company’s strategic plan to boost domestic manufacturing and transfer technology.
In its disclosure to the Egyptian Exchange, «Digitize» confirmed the signing of a cooperation protocol with AOI. The agreement covers marketing and selling products across national telecom infrastructure projects with a total value of EGP 5 billion (USD 100 million).
Signing Ceremony Highlights
The signing ceremony took place at AOI’s headquarters. Attendees included Major General Eng. Mokhtar Abdel Latif, Chairman of AOI; Dr. Eng. Ahmed Darwish, former Minister of Administrative Development and Board Member at «Digitize»; Eng. Yousry Atlam, Chairman of «Digitize»; along with Eng. Yasser Rashwan and Eng. Osama Yassin.
Strategic Cooperation to Expand Local Manufacturing
Under the agreement, «Digitize» will leverage AOI’s advanced industrial and technological infrastructure. The cooperation focuses on expanding the local manufacturing of fiber optics, 5G technologies, and data centers for both domestic and regional markets.
Major General Eng. Mokhtar Abdel Latif praised «Digitize» for its ICT expertise. In addition, he highlighted AOI’s role in supporting national digital transformation projects in Egypt, Africa, and the Middle East. AOI will provide state-of-the-art facilities and a highly trained workforce to align with global technological standards.
He noted that the initial phase centers on implementing and maintaining national fiber optic, 5G, and data center projects. Furthermore, the cooperation includes localizing fiber optic network component production, aligning with Egypt’s Vision 2030 for sustainable development.
Comprehensive ICT Production and Services
The protocol extends beyond manufacturing. It covers production, marketing, and sales of ICT equipment and services for both public and private sectors. Consequently, this creates opportunities for exports to regional and international markets, while maintaining competitive pricing and global quality standards.
«Digitize»: Strengthening National Role and Driving Growth
Dr. Eng. Ahmed Darwish emphasized that «Digitize» seeks to contribute to Egypt’s digital transformation. At the same time, he underlined AOI’s role as the industrial backbone of the Egyptian state, helping the company access regional markets and global export opportunities.
From his side, Eng. Yousry Atlam described the agreement as a turning point for «Digitize». He explained that the deal supports sustainable growth, boosts production capacity, and secures a project value of EGP 5 billion (USD 100 million).
As a result, «Digitize» strengthens its financial standing, diversifies income sources, and enhances shareholder returns. The cooperation also grants a competitive edge in local tech equipment manufacturing, reducing imports and cutting operating costs.
Atlam concluded that this partnership comes at a time of rapid ICT sector growth in Egypt. Therefore, «Digitize» aims to play a key role in national projects while expanding exports to African and Middle Eastern markets.
