«CIB» Diego Elias Secures Semifinal Spot
Peru’s Diego Elias, World No.2, continued his impressive form. He defeated England’s Jonah Bryant, World No.28, with a convincing 3–0 win (11-5, 11-8, 11-2) in just 38 minutes. As a result, Elias secured his place in the semifinals and maintained his strong momentum.
«CIB» Victor Crouin Impresses Against Fares Dessouky
France’s Victor Crouin, World No.11, also delivered a solid performance. He beat Egypt’s Fares Dessouky, World No.15, in straight games (11-3, 12-10, 11-7) after 43 minutes of play. Consequently, Crouin completed the list of semifinalists and reinforced his growing international presence.
Fayrouz Abouelkheir Stuns Nour El Sherbini
On the women’s side, Egyptian Fayrouz Abouelkheir, World No.11, produced the biggest surprise of the tournament so far. She stunned her compatriot Nour El Sherbini, World No.2 and defending champion, in a thrilling five-game battle. After 64 minutes of high-level squash, Abouelkheir sealed a 3–2 victory (11-8, 8-11, 9-11, 11-8, 11-5). This victory marked one of the most significant moments of her career and guaranteed her a place in the semifinals.
Amina Orfi Strengthens Egypt’s Dominance
Egypt’s Amina Orfi, World No.4, also booked her semifinal ticket. She overcame Malaysia’s Sivasangari Subramaniam, World No.7, in a competitive match that lasted 62 minutes. Orfi won 3–1 (11-6, 11-8, 4-11, 11-9), further highlighting Egypt’s continued dominance on the global squash stage.
