Central Bank of Egypt: Remittances of Egyptians Abroad Surge 42.8% to USD 33.9 Billion in the First 10 Months of 2025
Cairo, 21 December 2025:
The Central Bank of Egypt announced that remittances from Egyptians working abroad recorded record inflows during the first ten months of 2025 (January–October 2025), reaching approximately USD 33.9 billion, compared with about USD 23.7 billion during the same period of the previous year, representing a growth rate of 42.8%.
The Bank stated in a press release issued today that, on a monthly basis, remittances increased by 26.2% in October 2025, totaling around USD 3.7 billion, compared with approximately USD 2.9 billion in October 2024.
