Shell Lubricants Egypt launches the 7th Technology Leadership Conference

under the slogan of Together Powering a Better Future

Shell Lubricants Egypt kicked off the 7th edition of the Technology Leadership Conference under the title of “Together Powering a Better Future”, in Sahl Hashish, Hurghada from June 1st to June 3rd. The conference supported the importance of the industrial sector as a crucial partner in the growth process.

The conference witnessed the attendance of MS. Amal ElSheikh, Chairwoman and Managing Director of Shell Lubricants Egypt, Mr. Mohamed Omar, Owner & CEO of BioMmasr, Mr. Thomas Muller, GM Commercial Road Transport Shell, Mr. Daniel Icasiano, Sectors & Decarbonizations GM Heavy Manufacturing Shell, Dr. Hany Genena, Economist and Adjunct Professor at American University in Cairo, and Eng. Ahmed Abdelzaher, Asset Management Consultant, Maintenance Planning & Control Manager.

The conference agenda included a set of sessions and workshops that discussed several topics pertaining to the energy transition, challenges that hinder achieving sustainability, as well as tackling the current macroeconomic changes and their impact on the industrial field. Shell also demonstrated its research efforts toward pathways for net-zero emissions.
In this occasion Ms. Amal Elsheikh, Chairwoman and Managing Director of Shell Lubricants Egypt stated: “I am thrilled that we are launching the seventh edition of the Technology Leadership Conference, driven by Shell’s strong commitment to driving growth across various industrial sectors, including mining, transportation, energy, construction, and others. In fact, over the past years, Shell has forged successful partnerships with leading industrial entities in these sectors, and our primary goal has been to be a partner and ally to support them in reaching optimal performance while reducing their total costs of ownership.”

Elsheikh further added that the conference reflects Shell’s vision and the importance of investing in the future. She also highlighted that the company is committed to being a responsible producer in the Egyptian market that promotes sustainable practices among its partners. In the same context, Shell Global exerts great efforts in research and development, which has resulted in the introduction of a wide range of lubricants products with carbon offsets manufactured with the latest technologies.
