Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait – Egypt Opens a New Branch in Palm Hills, 6th of October City

Cairo, April 2025:

In line with the Bank’s ambitious growth strategy and plans to expand its business and geographical footprint to best cater for its growing customer base in Egypt, Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait – Egypt (ABK-Egypt) announced the official opening of its new branch located in Palm Hills, 6th of October. This recent opening brings the Bank’s network to 46 branches covering 18 governorates across the country.

The new branch has been carefully chosen and designed to offer a wide range of banking products and innovative services and is also equipped with accessible entrances and facilities for individuals with physical disabilities to ensure a seamless banking experience for all customer segments.

The ribbon cutting ceremony held to celebrate the opening was attended by Mr. Ali Marafi, ABK-Egypt’s Chairman, Mr. Khaled El Salawy, CEO and Managing Director, Mr. Khaled Barakat, Deputy CEO – Consumer Banking, and Ms. Lamia Rabie, Head of Branches Network, alongside representatives from ABK-Egypt senior management team.

Commenting on this new branch opening, Mr. Ali Marafi, Chairman of ABK-Egypt, stated: “The Bank strives to stay close to its customers through becoming more accessible to all segments nationwide and provide them with distinguished banking services and innovative products that meet their rising aspirations and growing needs. The addition of a new branch to our network comes in accordance with our plans to grow our business and increase our market share through expanding our presence and enhancing our reach to ensure attracting new customer segments.”

In the same context, Mr. Khaled El Salawy, CEO & Managing Director, confirmed: “Our expansion plans focus on equipping our branches with the latest technology in the market as well as modern design standards that guarantee providing an efficient, speedy, and outstanding service to our customers. Mr. Khaled El Salawy also added that ABK-Egypt’s strategy will continue to focus on sustainable growth through further developing our digital infrastructure, optimizing our presence and upgrading our network with the latest technologies, investing in our human capital, and enhancing customer service to provide a reliable and pleasant banking experience, which emphasizes our commitment to prioritizing customer satisfaction.

It is worth mentioning that ABK-Egypt has delivered very strong financial results for the year 2024, underscoring its robust business performance and growing customer base. The Bank also received many prestigious awards over the past period, the latest of which was its recognition as the “Fastest Growing Retail Bank in Egypt” by International Business Magazine in December 2024.
