Cairo, 6 Novamber 2025:
Microsoft hosted the “AI Tour” event in Dubai as part of its global AI Tour, bringing together top leaders from government, academia, and the private sector to explore ways to leverage AI capabilities to enhance innovation, productivity, and sustainable growth in the UAE. The event featured keynote speeches, interactive experiences, and customer and partner showcases highlighting AI innovations and their practical impact.
During the event, Microsoft announced the launch of Microsoft Elevate UAE, an expansion of its global skills development initiative. This program aims to train over 250,000 students, faculty, and academic staff, alongside more than 55,000 government employees, in AI skills needed for the workforce through sustainable programs, partnerships, and advanced AI tools. Additionally, Microsoft will offer extended programs to all educational institutions in the UAE, including 10,000 teachers and 150,000 students in James Schools, fostering AI literacy and practical skills across all education stages.
Strategic Partnerships
Brad Smith, Vice Chair and President of Microsoft, said:

The event included a keynote by Brad Smith and a panel discussion with Beng Xiao, CEO of G42, and Samer Abu Latif, President of Microsoft for Europe, Middle East, and Africa, discussing the next phase of collaboration and Microsoft’s recent $15.2 billion investment in the UAE.
Government Talent Development
Microsoft also announced the next phase of collaboration with G42 and the JAHIZ platform, aiming to train and certify 55,000 federal employees in AI over the next 12 months. The program combines core skills with practical applications to help government staff leverage AI for improved public services and innovation. Leadership development programs on responsible AI adoption and digital transformation will also continue.
