Hatem Dowidar» to Step Down as CEO of UAE’s e& Group by End of next March»

Hatem Dowidar has announced his intention to step down as Chief Executive Officer of the UAE-based e& Group by the end of March. following six years leading the company and more than a decade with the organization.

Dowidar highlighted that 2025 marked a record year for the group. with consolidated revenues reaching AED 72.9 billion and consolidated net profits of AED 14.4 billion. He emphasized that the significance of these results goes beyond financial performance. noting the pivotal role of the company’s technology in empowering more than 244 million subscribers through integrated digital and financial ecosystems. helping them build better futures.

He added that the year’s results reflect the company’s continued expansion beyond its core operations and its strengthened presence in high-growth markets. as part of its strategy to evolve into a global technology group.

Dowidar confirmed that the Board of Directors has agreed on the conclusion of his tenure by the end of March. with Masood M. Sharif Mahmood set to assume the role of Group CEO. The transition process will take place over the coming weeks to ensure a smooth handover of leadership.

He also expressed confidence in the ability of e&’s teams across all markets to continue driving growth and reaffirmed his full commitment to supporting the handover process until his final day in the position on 31 March.
