Emirates NBD-Egypt offers an exceptional training opportunity through the Youth Skills Gate program

In celebration on the World Youth Skills Day, Emirates NBD- Egypt offers an exceptional training opportunity in collaboration with the EYouth platform, which specializes in the youth trainings. The training program includes learning and development opportunities in a flexible environment that allows a blend of online and offline learning.

The Youth Skills Gate program discusses basic financial concepts such as financial planning, decision-making in finance, and financial inclusion. It also includes the development of personal skills for trainees, such as effective communication skills, leadership skills, and job skills in the banking sector, all free of charge and available to young talents from 21 to 26 years old all over Egypt.

The bank, in cooperation with EYouth, offers a number of programs for developing professional English language skills through the American University in Cairo for five young women and men. according to the bank’s plan to support young people through the celebration of International Youth Day.

Participants are selected in coordination between the bank’s management and the company. The selection criteria include, firstly: the financial need, where beneficiaries are determined according to their financial status and the urgent need for the grant, taking into account income, expenses, and the personal economic conditions of the applicants. The second criterion is the academic performance, which considers the applicants’ academic success and educational excellence, such as previous grades and overall academic achievement. Thirdly: social contribution and participation in community activities, such as volunteering and community initiatives. Fourthly: ambition and desire to learn, where the passion and desire of the applicants to continue their education and develop their skills, and their readiness to benefit from the educational opportunities offered, in addition to legal conditions and other determinants, such as specified age, nationality, and residence in Egypt. Sixthly: the selection should include applicants from all over Egypt and balance between the percentage of females and males. Seventhly: the participants should be students of government universities.

Commenting Amgad Doma Chief Strategy & Sustainability Officer stated: “Emirates NBD – Egypt is keen on supporting the youth by offering distinguished training programs to qualify them for the job market. Collaborating with the EYouth platform is a good opportunity to assist exceptional young people. This comes as part of the bank’s steps towards activating and integrating sustainability standards, sustainable finance, and financial inclusion.”

This collaboration aims to empower and develop young people, preparing them to work in the banking sector and financial literacy, in line with the goals of the National Agenda for Sustainable Development (Egypt Vision 2030), especially the quality of life goal and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly the objectives of good education, decent work, and economic growth. This will help to reduce the gap between supply and demand in the labor market and equip young people with the understanding and skills to work in the banking sector.
